Netbooks have provided a great boost and balance among computing devices in the industry.
Netbooks have become the most popular gadgets among students. Because netbooks are way cheaper than traditional laptops and only weighs a few pounds, they have become an ideal choice for students in their learning process. Because of its portability, netbooks can serve as an excellent travel buddy. Wherever you opt to go, you can always count on netbooks when doing your homework or just for mere internet browsing. The popularity of these small machines also extends up to businessmen and other techie individuals.
Since they are a lot cheaper than conventional desktops or laptops, you can’t also expect the best efficiency. But if you try to read some netbook reviews in the internet, you will find out that they also features all the basic necessities that you need. The popularity of netbooks however is not done overnight. The very first launch of netbooks was not warmly welcomed by the public. After all, who would entrust their hard-hard money to a mini laptop that only has a screen of 7 inches? Learning from its mistakes, many computer manufacturers have come up with better and bigger screens that measure up to 10 inches. Even the price will not burn some holes in your pockets. You don’t have to pay for more than $400 just to own a netbook. And also, netbooks of today run on Windows XP operating system.
The many improvements on netbooks have actually resulted to the increase in sales. Today, statistics show that it has left behind not only the desktops and laptops, but also the latest craze brought by Apple iPhones. There were even reports that netbook sales grew by 160% at the end of the third quarter of 2008. And more than 5.6 million netbooks were sold during that time frame as compared to the 4.7 million figures of iPhones.
